Recipe Tips

Make sure the mashed potato mixture is not too hot when you add the filling as it will make it difficult to shape the balls. You can also refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to make it easier to handle. Use a deep fryer if possible as it will ensure that the potato balls cook evenly and are crispy on the outside. Do not overcrowd the frying pan or deep fryer as it will reduce the temperature of the oil and cause the balls to absorb more oil. Serve the stuffed potato balls immediately to ensure they are crispy and hot.
