Recipe Tips

  • For a smoother texture, strain the sweet potato mixture through a fine-mesh sieve before pureeing it.
  • You can adjust the spices to your liking. Add more or less of each spice depending on your taste preferences.
  • Make sure to use canning jars that are specifically designed for canning. Do not use jars that are meant for other purposes, as they may not be able to withstand the heat and pressure of the canning process.
  • Always use new lids when canning. Used lids may not seal properly and can lead to spoilage or contamination.
  • Label and date your jars so you know how long they have been stored.
