Ingredients

Method

  4. To make the sugar syrup, add the sugar and water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat and add the cardamom powder and rose water to the sugar syrup.
  6. Let the syrup simmer for 5-10 minutes or until it reaches a slightly thick consistency.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  8. Add the sweet potato balls to the oil and fry them until they turn golden brown.
  9. Remove the balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them onto a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  10. Place the fried balls into the sugar syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  11. Serve the Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun warm or cold and enjoy!
